This filter is very easy to service, with a side mount multi-port valve you won't have to undo any plumbing to access the internals of the filter. The CHALLENGER series utilizes the HYDRA-THRUST bead agitation system. Air is forced into the vessel to thoroughly agitate the beads and break free the entrapped debris.
